coincidentally, i just started wearing perfume called “Forever Red” from Bath and Body Works. it smells GORGEOUS & i thought it was adorable that i have this tiny thing of Forever Red among all my red lipsticks. also, it is almost identical in shape and size to Maybelline ColorSensational lipsticks, which gets confusing for me when I blindly reach into my bag!
silly little perfume. you may be perfectly & forever red, but you aren’t a lipstick!

i haven’t been here in a long time! i’ve been busy being very occupied by my boyfriend for the past year, but he’s in japan, so i’ve been wasting more time on the computer again! i haven’t had much of anything to talk abt, but i am currently on a RED LIPSTICK MISSION, so i figured - there must be more ppl in the world having this same issue as me, so i might as well share my knowledge & findings!
there are SO MANY lipsticks out there, and most of them are crappy. some feather, some wipe off in a second, some taste or smell bad, some are shiny, some are too dull, etc.
i’m on a mission to find a matte, perfect red. i don’t yet know what “perfect” is. at first, i thought i wanted a soft, but bright red. now, i’m thinking i want to go a little deeper, to a red-wine mix. in any case. there are tons of brands & within those brands, so many lines. i’m dabbling in both drugstore brands and some fancier stuff. i will update you on them ALL.
& so begins, the Lipstick Chronicles.
